Many couples have been modeling the celebrities’ wedding in their own weddings and this trend has been picking up relatively fast. With the average wedding cost going up and more couples wanting a dream and unique wedding, it has become increasingly common that couples model certain portion of their wedding over celebrities wedding.

For e.g. there is a report of a couple in New Zealand who wanted a taste of a celebrity wedding. They incorporated certain portion of their wedding to be the same as the format as a celebrity wedding.

It has become common for wedding planners to get requests to plan the wedding modeled after certain celebrities.

Most celebrities would negotiate for a big paycheck with the magazine to give the exclusive reporting of the event. The wedding of Victoria Adams a.k.a Posh Spice and David Beckham in 1999, who had struck a deal for £1 million with OK! Magazine featuring their July wedding with Posh Spice wearing a whopping Vera Wang designed wedding dress of £60,000!!!

The much talk about wedding of Jordan and Peter Andre also fetched a whopping £1.7 million. With the extensive coverage, it is no qualms on why couples are spending over their budget to live a day of celebrity treatment!

Of course, much as most celebrities sell their exclusive rights to magazines to get a lavish wedding, there are some who prefer a small, quiet affair. Others include Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who wed in a private affair in Sydney and selling their photos in auction for charity.
